"PADDY" - Southdown Parade
Paddy is Holly's first Clydesdale...and what an adventure they have been on together over the last 13 years!! Holly grew up with Coloured Breeds, Western Pleasure & Endurance Riding, but always had a passion for the Clydies from a young age. Paddy was bred by Pam & Brian Young of Western Australia and came to be Holly's as a yearling gelding, a gangly big boy who just grew and grew to be an 18-hand lovable larrikin!
Paddy has been shown in the Confirmation Ring at All-Breeds and Royal Shows from the age of 18 months and has been awarded multiple Championships & Top-5 Supremes. Holly started Paddy to saddle at 2 years of age with the expert help of Sam & Sascha Watson of Horses & Horsemen, Margaret River, W.A. and has attended many Natural Horsemanship Clinics over the years. Holly eventually achieved her goal & dream of Reinless Riding! Paddy has competed successfully in Harness, Dressage, One-Day Eventing (Dressage, Cross-Country & Jumping) and most recently, Hunting... Holly has a new riding challenge now...to compete in Reining on a Clydesdale!
