"COSI" - Ch. Zanzebern Cosi Fan Tutte
We were very fortunate to have BISS Ch. Cosi Fan Tutte visiting us here at Malicloy in 2011. We would like to thank breeder Nicole Lennon & owner Emma Sankey for entrusting Cosi to us and letting us campaign and show her here in South Australia after Ben groomed & handled her to her first ever National Specialty Best in Show win.
Cosi was just the most beautiful girl to live with...if only all Bernese were as gentle as she is. Cosi is a big, broad substantial girl with phenomenal bone for a bitch and of excellent proportions. She has a thick coat, correct tail carriage and moves as a Bernese should with good reach and drive without being flamboyant or elevated.
Ben first saw Cosi the night before the 2011 Victorian National Specialty Show and absolutely loved her! Asking his owner if he could show her, Ben then had the pleasure of grooming and handling Cosi through to Best in Show under American Breed Specialist - Judge Sharon Chestnut Smith. This show once again received an Australian record entry, this time of 108 Bernese!
Sharon said of Cosi.....
"Wonderful typey bitch, correct profile, great short hocks, lovely bend of stifle, good topline, correct dark eye, great head, lovely side gait."
After the show, it was then decided that Cosi would be coming home to Malicloy, South Australia to be campaigned further...And what a joy she was to have around! Cosi soon became one of the girls! She loved a good run & a swim in the river with the others, but was most at home lying on our feet, in and around the house!
At the 2011 South Australian Bernese Mountain Dog Club 'Regional Specialty' Championship Show, Cosi won Best in Show again under judge Ms. Linda Buckley from Canberra in the ACT. Ben then went on with Cosi to win "Supreme Champion" when shown against the Newfoundland and Pyrenean Mountain Dog Best in Show winners. We also took out the Runner-up Best in Show award with our home-bred boy "Derek."
Cosi does it again!... She won Best of Breed at the 2011 Adelaide Royal Show under an International Judge, again groomed and handled by Ben.
After multiple Best in Specialty Show, Championship Best in Show and many more Best of Breed awards, it was decided that Cosi would return to her owner to further their breeding program. Many thanks again to Nicole and Emma for entrusting Cosi to us...
